delete /<uuid>

Delete element

Deletes the referenced element, as well as its file (if it has one) and relations directly attached to the element (if it is a node).

Any resumable upload still in progress that targets this element (started via POST /<uuid>/file or PUT /<uuid>/file) is aborted and its uploaded chunks are discarded as part of the deletion. There is no way to recover it - resume the upload against a new element instead.

Since access to a node is granted through its OWNS-relations, deleting a parent before its children leaves those children without an owner. They are not deleted themselves, but become unreachable through the API, as there is no longer any element the current user has access to that owns them. To avoid this, delete children first, or attach them to another parent before deleting the current one.
